La stampa su carta dal libro "Kräuterbuch" di Leonhart Fuchs del 1643 (una ristampa eseguita a Basilea del libro originale "New Kreüterbůch", pubblicato nel 1543 sempre a Basilea), presente nella Biblioteca Statale ed Universitaria della Bassa Sassonia (Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek) a Göttingen (Germania) nel Reparto dei Manoscritti e Stampe Rare (Abteilung fuer Handschriften und seltene Drucke), codice (Signatur): 2 BOT I, 1100 RARA) è denominata "Zeitlosen mit den blumen" e rappresenta un colchico.

Nella tavola la pianta di Colchicum sp., completa del cormo e delle radici, è ritratta in antesi. La lunga conservazione del libro ha fatto svanire il colore rosa dei tepali e funghi microscopici hanno danneggiato la carta. The colour print on paper from Leonhart Fuchs' book "Kräuterbuch" of 1643 (a reprint carried out in Basel of the original book "New Kreüterbůch", published in 1543, also in Basel), present at The State- and University Library of Lower Saxony (Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek) in Göttingen (Germany) in the Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books (Abteilung fuer Handschriften und seltene Drucke), code (Signatur): 2 BOT I, 1100 RARA, is named "Zeitlosen mit den blumen" and represents a plant of Colchicum sp.

The Colchicum is shown with buds and flowers, corms and roots. The colour of the flowers, due to the long preservation of the book, are faded in comparison to the same plate known from another source (vide).

This work is published here thanks to the obliging collaboration of the curator of the prints in the Library in Göttingen, Mrs. Bärbel Mund, who chose the illustration in the book, pointing out herself the scarce conservation and damage to the paper by moulds. It was however felt important to include this document expressly photographed for this site by the Library Services. The volume present in the Göttingen Library contains another illustration of Colchicum, showing the leaves (which grow after flowering) as well as the root stock.
