This site is dedicated to ornamental geophytes, which have been my hobby for many years. The pages should help to make these marvellous plants better known to Italian garden enthusiasts. Many excellent books and internet sites, mostly in English, exist on this subject. Therefore one of the aims of these pages is to indicate links and report references to permit an easier orientation in the "bulb web".
The site has no commercial aims but it does not exclude links and references to purly commercial sites which are now contributing in a very important way to the divulgation of knowledge and are giving guidance to plant and garden lovers.
The site contains a gallery of artistic drawings and paintings of ornamental geophytes.
The first pages of the site were published in January 2003 with the aim of adding to them without hurry. Suggestions, help and contributions from anyone who might feel the scope of the site to be of interest will be much appreciated.
Access to the contents of the site and to the suggested links is easy from this page or from the Italian version of the HOME page. The drawings and paintings can be viewed in the section THE PLATES or from THE LIST OF ARTISTS, the photographs in the section THE PHOTOS.
